“THIS HARD HITTING LINEUP IS ON A WARPATH”
From left to right:
Jeff Morrow – drums
Jay Morrow – guitar
Nick Jarrell – vocals
Andrew Pasquino – bass
Since the days of banging on empty boxes for drums and a tennis racket for guitar, the Morrow twins have been on a mission to create a sound that only womb-mates can master, and perhaps even comprehend.
Fortunately, for Jeff and Jay Morrow, they were able to upgrade their equipment to actual drums (Jeff) and guitar (Jay). Along those fortunes, the twins ran into powerhouse vocalist Nick Jarrell. And most recently, bass player Andrew “In the Pocket” Pasquino.
This quartet of high energy heathens, picked up by Mushroomhead’s label Filthy Hands / SK1, have a full length release scheduled for late 2017/early 2018.
DOSE founder and drummer, Jeff Morrow, comments: “Inking a deal with Skinny (the mastermind behind the recently top 20 charted band Mushroomhead) is better than any other record deal we could have hoped for. Along with the full length record, it will include a music video for our single release as well as supporting tour, merch and other resources to help get our music out to the masses.”
The press is saying:
“DOSE is blowing up the metal scene and you aren’t going to want to miss out.
Big L’s advice is to go get yourself a dose of Dose. It’ll cure whatever is ailing ya!
To rewind for those who can’t get enough info….
The DOSE project began in 2013 and takes its name from an overdose of a beloved family member. At that time, Jeff and his twin brother Jay turned to what they knew best to work through the overwhelming grief. This metal therapy includes layers of aural stimulation that will cut into the heart and soul of metal enthusiasts far and wide.
A debut disc was released just five months after the band’s inception with producer and former Chimaira and Six Feet Under guitarist Rob Arnold at his Cleveland, Ohio studio. The disk includes three originals including three bonus tracks featuring iconic punk/hardcore vocalist Don Foose of The Spudmonsters, Dancing White Elephants and Run Devil Run.
This disc, Ashes of Winter was independently released on June 13, 2014. Combining elements of extreme metal, groove metal, thrash metal, metalcore, and progressive metal.
Nick Jarrell came on board the DOSE camp in 2016. “Nick was exactly what we were looking for to bring our music to the level that we’ve been focused on since day one”, says Jay. “He has the chops and energy that is needed to keep up with some seriously intense composition.”
Most recently, the hunt for an aggressively dynamic bass player, that could live up to the DOSE vision of kickassery and highly finessed performances began. Andrew Pasquino was found to fill that bill and brings a nuance of genius musicianship and eclectic sanity to the mix.
DOSE is featured on a variety of metal shows including WJCU 88.7 FM and WCSB 89.3 FM as well as internet radio stations in the U.S., Europe, U.K. and around the globe.
Stay tuned for more details about the upcoming tours, video premier and music release dates.
